BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Following a thorough investigation into the serious motor vehicle accident that occurred on March 10, 2024 on Park Avenue near Winsor Way, the findings have revealed that the primary cause of the accident was driver inattention. The driver, a 49-year-old township resident with a child inside the vehicle, was traveling east on Park Avenue when the crash occurred.

Berkeley Heights Police stated that the driver had drawn his attention away from the road, resulting in a collision with two pedestrians walking on the sidewalk of Park Avenue near Windsor Way, which is a wide section of the roadway.
