A Morris County daycare teacher faces serious charges following an alleged assault on a young child at a local learning center.

MORRIS COUNTY, N.J. — Christina Susco, 38, a daycare teacher at the Mount Olive Child Care & Learning Center, has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child and aggravated assault, as announced by Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll, Chief of Detectives Robert McNally, and Mount Olive Township Police Chief Michael Spitzer.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 25, 2024, involving a 16-month-old female child. Details about the nature of the alleged assault have not been disclosed, and the investigation is ongoing. In the interest of protecting the victim's privacy, her identity has not been released.

Susco faces a second-degree charge for endangering the welfare of a child and a third-degree charge for aggravated assault. Following the investigation by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Sex Crimes/Child Endangerment Unit and the Mount Olive Township Police Department, Susco was released from the Morris County Correctional Facility under non-monetary bail conditions. These conditions include a prohibition from returning to the daycare facility.

As the case proceeds through the legal system, Susco is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
