KENILWORTH, NJ - Gov. Livingston (6-5) triumphed in the Union County Conference Mountain Divisional Golf Tournament on Wednesday at Galloping Hill Golf Course. With a stellar performance, the team clinched the top spot in the competition, boasting a score of 352. New Providence (5-4) followed in second place with a score of 373, while Union Catholic (4-3) secured third place with a score of 383. Dayton (2-7) rounded out the rankings, placing fourth with a score of 413.
Leading the charge was Brady Silverman, of Gov. Livingston, who claimed the title of the top golfer in the Mountain Division with an impressive score of 84. Hot on his heels was John Pitarresi of New Providence, closely trailing with a score of 86. Zachary Polito of Dayton earned third place with a score of 87.
Adding to Gov. Livingston's triumph were Bruno Ned, whose commendable score of 88 secured him a solid fourth place. Mark Capparelli and Christian Sabatino of Gov. Livingston delivered exceptional performances as well, tying for fifth place individually with scores of 90.
The team's collective effort and individual achievements were instrumental in clinching the victory.
Next up, Gov. Livingston returns to the course for a match against Scotch Plains on Wednesday, April 24, at Shadyrest in Scotch Plains.
