When we say there are all kinds of music in Greater Morristown this weekend, we really mean it.

Classic rock, classic Celtic, classic Carla, classic Classic. Baroque and big band jazz, too.

And let’s not forget Contemporary dance and Classic dinosaurs.

THURSDAY, APRIL 25, 2024:

Free yoga is back at the Morristown & Township Library, indoors at 10 am, and every Thursday. At One Miller Road, Morristown.

Jazz favorite Grover Kemble performs at Rockaway’s Caffé NaVona, 147 Route 46, from 6 – 9 pm. Hear him play songs from his new album, I’m Serious.

Morristown’s St. Peter’s Episcopal Church hosts tango lessons in the Parish House, 7 pm for beginners, 8 pm intermediate class. At 70 Maple Ave.

The Morristown & Township Library presents a virtual interview with Allison Pataki about her new book, Finding Margaret Fuller, at 7 pm. Free. Email here for Zoom access.

Drew University presents the Drew Composers’ Concert at 7 pm. Free. In the Concert Hall, 36 Madison Ave., Madison.

The week-long Madison Mostly Dance Festival kicks off at 7:30 pm with Collective Memories, featuring choreography by students from the Drew University Dance Department. Tickets: $5-$15. At the Madison Community Arts Center, 10 Kings Road.

FRIDAY, APRIL 26:

Mount Tabor’s Annual Weekend Tag Sale runs from 9 am to 4 pm, and resumes from 9 am to 4 pm on Saturday and 11 am to 4 pm on Sunday. Proceeds will benefit the Mount Tabor Historical Society. Park at 31 Simpson Ave., Mt. Tabor, 973-975-0001.

Drew University presents a Chamber Music Master Class at noon. Free. Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center artist Tara O’Connor coaches honors student chamber ensemble in performances of Handel and Borodin, including pieces for two violins, cello, and french horn. The Morristown & Township Library hosts Indoor Qigong at 9:30 am. Free. No experience or registration required. Upstairs in the F.M. Kirby Gallery, at One Miller Road, Morristown.

SUNDAY, APRIL 28:

Winter is really over! Grow It Green Morristown’s Morris Winter Farmers Market concludes its season, from 9:30 am to 1 pm, at the Convent Train Station in Morris Township. Featuring nearly 30 vendors.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents The Glenn Miller Orchestra at 3 pm. Tickets: $29-$69. Morristown High School stars will join the band for a song! At 100 South St., Morristown, 973-539-8008.

Drew University presents a Drew Flutes Recital at 3 pm. Free. In the Concert Hall, 36 Madison Ave., Madison.

Local composers Robert Butts, David Williams and Michael DeMaio collaborate at 4 pm with The Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey to premiere compositions at the Madison Community Arts Center in Madison. Tickets: $20. At 10 Kings Road.
