THURSDAY, MAY 18, 2023:

The Morristown & Township Library hosts free yoga on its lawn at 10 am, and every Thursday through mid-October, weather-permitting. Call 973-538-6161 if the weather looks iffy.

Mansion in May, a fundraiser of the Women’s Association for Morristown Medical Center, continues each day this month from 10 am to 4 pm at Three Fields in Mendham. Admission: $50. Read more here.

The Morris Museum in Morris Township hosts a BYOB Sip & Sketch, Mixing Media in Figurative Abstraction at 6 pm. At 6 Normandy Heights Road, 973-971-3700.

The multi-talented Munah Hayes presents free Dance Fitness classes at 6 pm at the Marion Sally Residents Center, at 23 Clyde Potts Drive in Morristown. Register at 862-777-5355.

Morristown’s St. Peter’s Episcopal Church hosts tango lessons in the Parish House, 7 pm for beginners, 8 pm intermediate class. At 70 Maple Ave.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center hosts the New Jersey Symphony: Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back in Concert, at 7:30 pm. Sold out, but you can call about cancellations. At 100 South St., Morristown, 973-539-8008.


FRIDAY, MAY 19:

The Folk Project kicks off a two-day Golden Jubilee in Morris Township at 6:30 pm with hors d’oeuvres, mocktails and jazz, followed by a 7:30 pm concert featuring talented members, with headliners The Robinson & Rohe Band. Admission: $20. For $65, you also can attend Saturday afternoon’s sing-alongs and guitar workshops, a celebratory dinner, and Saturday night’s concert, with more FP favorites and headliners Frank Vignola and Vinnie Raniolo. At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road.

The Mayo Performing Arts Center presents Kevin James: The Irregardless Tour, with opener Gary Valentine, at 8 pm. Tickets: $69-$129. At 100 South St., Morristown, 973-539-8008.


SATURDAY, MAY 20:

The Morristown & Township Library hosts Indoor Qigong at 9:30 am. Free. No experience or registration required. Upstairs in the F.M. Kirby Gallery, at One Miller Road, Morristown.

The Folk Project’s Golden Jubilee continues in Morris Township with musical workshops at 1:30 pm, a celebratory dinner at 6 pm, and a 7:30 pm concert featuring talented FP members and headliners Frank Vignola and Vinnie Raniolo. Admission: $65 for all activities; $20 for concert only. At the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship, 21 Normandy Heights Road.

Morristown’s Bethel AME Church hosts a play at 4 pm about a woman’s journey to recovery, based on the story of Morristown Housing Authority Commissioner Tina Lindsey. At 59 Spring St.
