Description
MONTVILLE, NJ – Woodmont Elementary School was under lockdown conditions for about one and a half hours on Thursday morning, April 18, according to Montville Township Police Chief Andrew Caggiano.
A threat was made to the school, which the Chief declined to comment on, and was forwarded to district School Resource Officer Patrolman Robert Manieri and immediately reviewed by Montville Police, according to Caggiano and a release by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Thomas Gorman.
Classes resumed once the threat was deemed “not credible,” but an investigation into the threat is ongoing, Caggiano told TAPinto Montville.
The Montville Township Police, the Morris County Sherriff’s Department, and the County K9 Unit were on site to secure the premises, according to the release.
