MORRISTOWN, NJ -  The Morristown softball team defeated Chatham 4-2 on Wednesday afternoon. The Colonials improved to 4-4 on the season with the win. Callie Volker was on the mound for Morristown. She pitched a compete game allowing two runs on four hits while striking out 10. Volker was among the 10 Morristown High School athletes that signed a Letter of Intent today in front of family, friends and MHS staff.

Volker will be attending RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) to continue her softball career.

Morristown and Chatham plated two runs a piece in the first inning. The Colonials then were able to scratch another in the third inning and a final run in the sixth.

Jenna Mananham, Ella Watson, Caroline Morhardt and Taylor Donnelly scored for Morristown. Watson had three hits and one RBI, hitting two singles and a double.

The Colonials will travel to face Mount Olive on Saturday April 20. Game time is 1pm.
